Space Applications Services is an independent Belgian SME whose activities cover manned and unmanned spacecraft, earth observation, science, exploration, communications, launch/re-entry vehicles, air traffic management, robotics and a wide range of technology developments. The company has over 35 years of experience providing engineering services and expert advice to customers such as the European Space Technology Centre (ESTEC) and the European Astronaut Training Centre (EAC).
ArianeGroup is a world leader in access to space, working for its institutional and commercial customers and Europe’s strategic independence. They design and create innovative and competitive launch systems, offering civil and military space solutions for our institutional, commercial and industrial customers. They are expert in the most cutting-edge technologies, from all aspects of complete propulsion systems right down to the items of equipment and materials. Equally owned by the two groups, Airbus and Safran, ArianeGroup houses the entire scope of their civil and military launcher activities and competences in a single, coherent company, with a workforce of approximately 9000 highly skilled people. Finalized in 2016, ArianeGroup roots reach more than 70 years into the history of space activity in Europe.
As an independent foundation, the FZI Research Center for Information Technology has stood for applied cutting-edge research in the field of computer science and its application fields for over 35 years. Research teams at the FZI interdisciplinarily develop and prototype concepts, software, hardware and system solutions for their clients.
